I used to have a cell phone, but I dropped it in water so…it’s dead. But my moms getting me a new one she wants me to get this really ugly phone that does absolutly NOTHING! I hate it. I want a RAZR phone but she said no because she only likes the prepaid phones, she doesn’t know how much a RAZR is monthly. Is there any way to convince her into saying yes? Like is there any plans or something thats cheaper, oh and the phone brand that I want is verizon.

my parents and i had i deal that if i got straight A’s all year then they would get me a cell.
i did.
finals are practically over, and i want to show off my new phone and program in numbers before all my friends go off to different schools next year. and then they can have my number just in case they get a phone when i don’t see them again.
how can i get my parent to get me a phone like this weekend, BEFORE school is over?
please don’t say: ” just wait.” because i have waited for over a year! I JUST WANT IT 2 WEEKS BEFORE SUMMER BREAK! please please please please please please, HELP ME RESOLVE THIS SO THAT I GET MY WAY!
(i really hope i don’t sound spoiled, i am just very angry)
thank you tons
when i tell them these reasons they say: “just write their phone numbers on papers.” or “you can email them and tell them if you get your phone.” (’when’ instead of ‘if’ i wish).
i told them that I will buy the phone but they would rather wait and pay for it themselves.
they are so stubborn! ughghghghg!
Those of us that are middle age have a much harder time adjusting to all the new electronic equipment that is available. On a consistent basis I am having my children show me how to work some gadget or another. My husband is even worse. He insists that he needs and wants a cell phone, however he is constantly forgetting it at home and leaving it places. We have had to stop service on two phones so that someone else would not find it and start racking up a huge bill.
For father’s day our children were asking me what to get him as a gift. I told them that if they could find some type of cell phone case that he could keep track of it would be a great gift. They were concerned that if he had the cell phone in a case he would not be able to get to calls in time. I told them that at this point when he was losing the phone and leaving it behind at home he was not getting calls anyway. They agreed that I had a point and they said that they would look for some kind of device or cell phone case that would help him out.
On fathers day we met at one of my husband’s favorite spots for Sunday brunch. The cafe sits on a cliff over looking a huge lake. The cafe is at the edge of a state forest so there are not any buildings that can be seen in the view. Our children have enjoyed coming here their entire lives so it is always the place we pick for a special family gathering. The brunch was wonderful as always. When we brought out the father day presents my husband was excited. He is still like a kid when it comes to getting gifts. When he opened the package from the children he pulled out a cell phone case and also a cord that had clips on either end. The cords clip to the cell phone case as well as to your pant loop so that the phone is attached to you. He thought this was quite clever. He has been able to keep better track of his phone since father’s day. There are still times when I call him and I hear his phone ringing on his dresser in the bedroom, but for the most part he has it with him. He is now trying to figure out how to retrieve his voice mails. The kids are considering cell phone lessons for him for Christmas!
The way we communicate is forever changing. In this day and age we’re much more likely to pass a quick email than we are to make a phone call half the time. Often this is due to the fact that we have something to say, but wish to not actually speak with the individual. I guess we’re able to have our cake and eat it to. Then there’s the way we communicate via phone. Are you chatting on a cordless in your living room, or more likely conversing on-the-go through your cell phone? Well, if you resemble the general American population, you’re taking advantage of your mobile phone most of the time. This is considered the “norm” now days. Even when you’re standing in your kitchen, you’re likely to be talking on your cellular telephone. It may sound odd, but it’s the way we currently do things. And this is why our world is flooded with mobile phone offers galore. We’ve replaced the land lines.
After chatting with a T-Mobile representative in the local mall yesterday, I noticed something. Everyone wants to get you locked in. They count on your contract deals more than anything. Hey, think about that; the longer they can get you locked into one of their contracts, the less competition they have to worry about. This is where the mobile phone offers and deals come into play. Sure they’ll give you a new Razr or high-tech cell phone for virtually nothing if you’re willing to sign on for three years. What have they got to lose? It doesn’t cost them anything. They will make plenty of dough off of you over the next few years. This is how mobile phone offers are played out. They need your devotion to make cash.
For some of us, routine mobile phone offers are useless. I have no desire to sign on with Verizon for two years just so I can acquire a free 250 dollar phone. I am one of the few who hardly ever use a cellular phone. For people like myself it makes more sense to purchase a Go phone or pay-as-you-go mobile phone. This way you can simply pay for the minutes you actually use. None of that wheeling and dealing is necessary.
